Adult Carers Events

A pamper day with a light buffet lunch and taster sessions of reflexology etc. on 29 September 2010.

Would Carers wishing to attend these and other events please contact either Jane Currie or Melanie Randall to register as a Carer.

Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action offer several events throughout the year. We provide a break service for Carers in the form of Social and Training/Learning Events. Some of the events we have held in the past include: Carers Christmas lunch, Lifting and Handling, Pressure Sore Workshop, and a Relaxation Workshop to list a few.

Most of our events come with the offer of respite for your Cared for and help with transport.

Information Service

Our Carers’ Information and Advice Worker, Jane Currie, offers a free information service to all residents in the Bracknell Forest Borough. Jane will make a home visit to discuss the information a Carer needs and provide any assistance needed with form filling, etc. We also have an extensive range of leaflets and information about local and national organisations and support groups.

There are many local support groups and we are more then happy to help point you in the right direction for the right support. A few of these local support groups are listed below. If you don’t see anything to would suit you, please call us and we will do our very best to find the right support for you.
